Reliable pizza, some hip music, and a chill vibe.
If you can’t find yourself a table at Delfina, Pizzeria Delfina is a good option. No tripe or even their delicious panna cotta, but the pizza is good and so are the sardines. The wine list reads well and there’s even outdoor seating (chairs are placed on the sidewalk)! A totally good second option when those last minute counter seats next door are snatched up.

Simple, rustic and delicious. With a great professional and friendly staff, a dining room that doesn’t close till 1am and a fantastic wine and bar list - there’s not much bad to say about this place.

I haven’t been to Town Hall in 2 years, and from what I remembered the appetizers were absolutely wonderful and our mains were more on the “okay” side.
Fast forward two years and nothing was awful or bad or even okay. Everything was done well (scallops are a must as well as the fried squash and toast w/ egg and cheese ). We went along with our server’s suggestion and ended up with a fantastic meal. My only disappointment was our baked oyster appetizer which came too salty for my liking.
Desserts here were pretty terrific too, although all 4 we tried were very rich. Being that I am a fan of Asian desserts, treats at Town Hall were a bit too much for me to handle. Service was a bit spotty, but the food absolutely made up for it.

I so wanted to believe in this place, but I’ll just go into denial instead. It was me and my poor choice of ordering ( mushroom panini, pasta of the day, miso soup, appetizer trio ) that made Lettus not my choice of tea. Everyone raves about this place, even my chef buddy, so I’ll give this place a second chance, even though the first impression was not very impressive at all.

I found this place while walking through Filmore the other day. It’s cute, it’s charming and it’s very French. A perfect place for afternoon tea.

Simple, rustic, good food. I don’t think there is much else to say about Zuni. It’s known for their oven roasted chicken ( takes up to a hour! ), but I decided to try other things on their menu - pasta, pizza, fries, and oysters - all great and tasty. The food here isn’t complicated, just simple and made well. A great example of Californian cuisine.

My dad discovered this place years ago at their first location in the TL. He loved it. We all did, but after they opened their second location in the Richmond things just don’t taste the same as before. Regardless, my family still flocks here. It’s still good. There’s nothing that says comfort like a bowl of chicken noodle soup ( Northern style; pho here does not come garnish with bean sprouts or basil - and no bottle of Hoisin sauce is visible ).

Located on my favourite block in the Mission ( 18th and Dolores ) Bi Rite is the perfect example of how all restaurants should be run ( local, organic and environmentally friendly). With choices such as salted caramel, 16th Street honey lavender and blasamic strawberry - you’re going to have a hard time choosing what to get - but whatever you pick, don’t forget about their awesome sundae’s either. Banana Split’s made with vanilla ice cream, homemade fudge and whip w/ crunchy walnuts and a glazed banana. Whoo talk about totally heavenly!
